そんなわけで、Helloween 強化月間です。
Helloween の代表曲はいくつもあるけど、今回、意訳したのは、ライブででも特に盛り上がる曲 "I Want Out" だよ。

安っぽい大量生産品のようなカタにハメられている。
オレらがどうしたいか？なんて誰も興味がない。
学校で教えられることと言えば、
個々の適正にあった教育ではなく、
教師のいうことをきくお人形さんになることだ。
ヤツらの仕事はカタにハメることだ。ハミでれば矯正される。
だから、延々と続く説教に、お前はいつしか諦めてしまい、
ひたすらこう思うだけになってしまう。
もうたくさんだ！ひとりにしてくれよ！
息が詰まってしまう！ほうっておいてくれ！

1から10まで指図され、
自分の意志は関係なく、物の見方さえ決めつけられる。
そこからはみ出れば、落ちこぼれのレッテルを貼られ、体罰により矯正される。

なので、”I Want Out” は、自分自身で生き方を決めた人の主張なんよ。
あと、

で "The Fool" となっているのは、単に「Fool=愚か者、バカ」という意味ではなく、タロットカードの「The Fool」を意味するからなんだよね。
これは、正位置で「目的をもった旅人」。逆位置で「放浪者」という解釈です。
曲の中では、前者の意味で使われているので、あんな感じで意訳しました。
だって、「人生は十人十色。愚かに生きるも十人十色」じゃあんまりでしょ。
